HOSPICE and PALLIATIVE CARE
at BISHOP WICKE HEALTH CENTER

Bishop Wicke Health Center at Wesley Village offers specialized care for people who are in the final months of life. Our goal is to make this stage of life as comfortable and fulfilling as possible.

Our focus is on caring, not curing. We seek to manage pain and symptoms, support each patient’s choices, and facilitate relationships with family and friends.

Palliative Rehabilitation

The goal of our palliative rehabilitation program is to maximize the ability of each patient to do things that are important to him or her. Using hands-on therapy techniques and targeted exercise, our rehabilitation program emphasizes treatments that enhance each patient’s independence and dignity.

We accept private insurance, Medicare and self-pay patients.

Specialized Services

Bishop Wicke Health Center offers the following specialized services:

• A service-oriented team of doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers, and volunteers dedicated to hospice care
• Coordination of nursing care and other needed services
• Pain and symptom management
• Complementary therapies involving music, relaxation, aroma therapy, and gentle touch massage
• Art, activities and entertainment tailored to individual preferences
• Emotional and spiritual support for patients and their families
