Middlewoods of Newington Employee Wins Connecticut Assisted Living Association Award for Outstanding Resident Service

MON_CALA_Award_2016.jpg(Newington, CT) June 27, 2016 - Middlewoods of Newington Independent and Assisted Living Community is once again the proud recipient of a Connecticut Assisted Living Association Award (CALA) for Outstanding Resident Service. Staff member, Jeanie Gomez, LPN, was honored at CALA’s Annual Resident Service Awards held at The Water’s Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook on Friday, June 17th.

“Jeanie Gomez is someone the staff and residents at Middlewoods of Newington can always count on to have a smile and spread sunshine throughout the community,” shares Stacy Kesl, the community’s Executive Director. “She loves being an LPN and taking care of our residents, and is always willing to help in any way, in any department. We are blessed to have her as part of our Middlewoods team and thrilled to honor her in this way.”

Gomez was nominated for her teamwork, collaboration, cooperation, and compassionate care, which has noticeably and positively impacted the building, the staff and most importantly, the residents.
