CHARITABLE PROGRAMS

Wesleyan Foundation for Health and Aging

Wesleyan Foundation for Health & Aging

The endowment of United Methodist Homes enables us to develop innovative programs, improve our facilities, and weather downturns in the economy. Our current financial strength derives from many farsighted donors who made bequests and life income gifts that built our endowment over time.

The Wesleyan Foundation for Health and Aging funds hospice care, dementia care, resident transportation and employee education programs. It also assists residents who lack financial and family support.

Wesleyan Foundation for Health and Aging Donor Profile

Jim and Jean StevensWhen Jim and Jean Stevens decided to move from their Fairfield home to a retirement community, there was only one option – Wesley Village. “I love the place, and I love the people,” relates Jean who has volunteered with the United Methodist Homes Council of Friends for 15 years.

Similarly, when it came to planning a bequest to support healthcare for seniors, they knew that the Wesleyan Foundation for Health and Aging was a smart choice. Jim is in a great position to make this determination. “As a resident of Wesley Village, I see firsthand how the staff makes the extra effort to meet resident needs," he states. "And as the retired Chair of the Wesleyan Foundation for Health and Aging, I realize how important bequests are maintaining the quality of care and the accommodations at Wesley Village and our other communities. We are pleased that our legacy will help ensure that future residents benefit from the same exemplary care that we've seen and experienced."
