Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center

“I am surrounded by loving and caring nurses, aids, dietary and housekeeping staff. There is no reason not to be happy!”

Resident, Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center

“Everyone at Bishop Wicke Rehab center has been very good in helping me to recover after my total knee replacement surgery. The physical and occupational therapists are excellent and have helped me greatly. They are very caring and have given me emotional as well as instructional support on my road to recovery.”

Short-term Resident, Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center

“My mother has been delighted to move to Bishop Wicke. For the 1st time she has developed close bonds and friendships. Everyone here has been so caring and friendly; both to mom and our family. We couldn't be happier with her care. I can feel relieved knowing how well taken care of she is.”

“We are very pleased with our choice of Wesley Village & Crosby Commons. My mom needed the social interaction she now enjoys. She is happy and we know there are people that care about her. She is happy, active and loves the staff. We are very grateful for the care she is getting and would not hesitate to recommend the Methodist home to anyone. Thank you so much.”

Foxbridge – Assisted Living and Memory Care Community

“I’m well pleased with living at Foxbridge.  The transition period was difficult, but the staff helped with it.  I’m glad I found what I needed in this place.”

Resident, Foxbridge

“By no means is this your only exceptional employee, but I would like to mention one Resident Care Assistant.  On my arrival to visit my mother one Sunday, this employee was sitting alone with my mother keeping her company.  Mom had been anxious because I had been in church and she had not been able to reach me by phone.  I was comforted to know that one of your staff reacted so compassionately to my mother’s needs.”

“I am so grateful for your kindness when I came after my sister died.  I’ll miss her always but with your help, adjusted to my loss.  The staff, all of them are kind, courteous and loving.  I am so grateful for those who helped me through the early days here.  I have no complaints, only gratitude.  Thank you for all the positives of my stay here. My heart is grateful.”

Wesley Heights - Assisted and Independent Living Community

“I am so happy that I no longer have a weekly food-shopping trip! I miss my car but am glad not to buy gas, go for needed service, etc. I’m happy my son-in-law is doing that. I also enjoy my tablemates. No cooking, no clean up. The food is very good and I appreciate food choice! The waitress staff is very good! Polite and caring. They always seem to want to serve and please you!”

Resident, Wesley Heights

“This is a beautiful, professional and caring community. We are blessed by the United Methodist Healthcare community indeed. I did not know such a wonderful assisted living and long-term care philosophy existed.”

About Elizabeth Bemis

In 1998, I drove past an assisted living community construction site, learned that it was part of United Methodist Homes and realized the next stop on my professional journey was to work for a mission driven organization. Soon after, I joined the team as Executive Director of our Middlewoods of Farmington community and later served as Regional Manager for the Middlewoods properties before accepting my current role as Vice President of Marketing, Promotions, and Assisted Living Operations. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, walking, and love working alongside our staff, residents, and families to build strong communities that reflect the mission, vision, and values of United Methodist Homes.
