Middlewoods of Newington Named "Caring Star of 2016" for Service Excellence in Assisted Living

News

MON_full_size[Newington, CT – December 8, 2015] — Middlewoods of Newington is pleased to announce it has been selected as a "Caring Star of 2016” for service excellence in assisted living. In ratings and reviews from older adults and their family members, Middlewoods of Newington earned a 5-star consumer rating (the highest possible score), while also meeting other qualifying criteria for this national honor. There are only 9 Caring Star 2016 communities in the state of Connecticut, and Middlewoods of Newington is among 787 Caring Stars across the country.

"We strive daily to deliver high-quality care for our residents, and this award helps validate our delivery on that promise,” said Stacy Kesl, Executive Director at Middlewoods of Newington. "On behalf of our community staff and leadership, thank you to those who shared positive feedback about the services we offer.”

Americans are increasingly seeking insights provided by online reviews to help guide important senior care decisions for aging or ailing loved ones. Now entering its fifth year, the Caring Stars annual list helps consumers reliably narrow senior living options for their loved ones to the most-acclaimed communities – particularly as they gather for the holidays and discover increased or urgent senior care needs.

Middlewoods of Newington offers award-winning independent and assisted living and is affiliated with the UConn Health Center. The community is located at 2125 Main Street in Newington and is owned and operated by UMH (United Methodist Homes), a local, mission-based, not-for-profit organization based in Shelton, CT. Middlewoods of Newington is proud to be part of United Methodist Homes’ 140-year legacy of caring and serving older adults.
