Josh began working in the dietary department in 2004 when he was just 16. Through the years, he has consistently shown a caring and respectful approach to our Residents and staff. His co-workers describe him as compassionate, always willing to offer a helping hand as he completes his tasks and always has a personable attitude. He takes pride in his appearance and understands the Residents deserve to be served by someone who is in a clean and neat uniform. A few years ago he crossed-trained at the front desk and this is where he continues to show us how he holds each individual as a whole person.
Josh deserves our Values in Action award because of the special way he interacts with our Residents. You can find him sitting on the arm of a chair chatting with a Resident about their day, their life, or just the weather. He takes the time to get to know the Residents, cares about each one individually and has even called to check on them on his day off if they haven’t been well or if they have been out of the building. He can even be seen giving hugs and kisses. Josh is a special member of the team; with quiet grace, and an easy and kind manner, he truly embodies the mission, vision and values of United Methodist Homes.
